Hi group

For those of you who are not friends with me on Facebook, you should know that there’s been a very large and serious fire beside the village I live in. It was serious enough that they were doing some evacuation just in case it came into the village as the winds were really carrying it quickly.

They are still fighting the fire with flame retardant from aircraft. It’s been going on for over 4 hours now.

The fire has jumped across the valley behind us and is burning on a hill on the other side now. There’s a lot of dry grass between here and there so this really needs to be watched. And the wind would blow the fire back into our area again.

The fire actually burned the area I watch for the moon from. They have that area closed off.

I’m going to beg your forgiveness and say it’s highly likely that I won’t be able to watch for the moon tonight. If I can I will. But right now it’s not looking too promising.Updated Jul 4, 2019, 11:06 PM

I’m excited that my husband allowed me to purchase a new camera for the work I do for יהוה . The old camera was a hand me down from someone and was old when it came to me. Changing the lens in the field when the dust and grit was blowing on the wind did not go well for it. That was certainly something I had not factored in. It was too old and it was too costly to repair.

The new camera is still a good name brand, Nikon. Like the old one bc I didn’t want to learn a new camera design. But the single lens has all the bases covered. Up to 3000 mm! Wow. No more changing lenses in the field and getting dust in the body. And it’s an optical lens not a digital lens. Wow, again!. I’ve been playing around with it and it’s wonderful to shoot with.

Here’s hoping we see the moon tonight on the 29th day. The skies have been pretty good lately. I’m ready to see what this camera will do.Updated Jul 6, 2019, 5:46 PM

However, it does support the history that during the first century the Jews were using the murex snail to make the tzitzit. History also teaches that the color had become so popular with the Romans in authority the Jews were forbidden to wear the snail dye in order to meet the demands of the Romans who wanted to wear the royal color on their garments.
