My name is Becca. Rivkah is Hebrew for Rebecca. In 2004 I chose Rivka as part of my email address after I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit telling me one day I would live in Israel. I chose my email name as an act of faith to remember the promise. Now I am called Rivkah.
My religious Journey
I was born to Pentecostal parents. We attended a little Pentecostal church until I was thirteen. The little church went through various denominational changes under the Pentecostal heading during our time there. In the 70s my parents became Assembly of God. As a single parent in the late 80s, I left the Assemblies of God for a Charismatic church. In 2003 I changed to a Messianic Synagogue and in 2004 I finally walked away from organized manmade religion. Now I belong to and follow the Great Shepherd where ever he leads me. John 10:11-18.
My physical journey to the land of Israel.
I grew up in the midwest USA. In 2003 while living in Northwest Arkansas I heard the voice of the Holy Spirit telling me He was calling me to live in Israel. As I single parent of four children I had no concept of needing permission to live in Israel. I only believed what I heard. In 2004 I married my husband whom I met on a Messianic dating site. As we got to know each other and it became apparent that we were both interested in marriage he told me that he had previously made aliyah and that one day he would be returning to Israel. After we were married we lived in Central America for ten years. In 2014 we permanently relocated to Israel.
What’s it about?
There are two very important reasons I decided to establish a website. The first reason is so I can have a point of delivery to anyone that wants information about the New Moon sighting or the Biblical Calendar by information coming from Israel.
The second reason is equally if not more important to me personally. It will give me a place to leave my spiritual journey and journal for my children to read after I am gone. I have been called to a land far from my birth country and my family could not follow. I have a deep desire for them to feel connected to what I am doing, to know what I believe at every level. Because this is what I am leaving my children it is what I believe from the bottom of my heart. Therefore, I don’t shrink from sharing it with whoever comes to the website. These are my beliefs, whether or not the reader is a child of mine, study it for yourself to prove it. I am not a teacher, I am an avid student of the Bible and the land of Israel. The Holy Spirit is my teacher.
1 Cor 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
I’m not interested in building a ministry. Yehovah will send whom Yehovah chooses to send.
