Hi group
For those of you who are not friends with me on Facebook, you should know that there’s been a very large and serious fire beside the village I live in. It was serious enough that they were doing some evacuation just in case it came into the village as the winds were really carrying it quickly.
They are still fighting the fire with flame retardant from aircraft. It’s been going on for over 4 hours now.
The fire has jumped across the valley behind us and is burning on a hill on the other side now. There’s a lot of dry grass between here and there so this really needs to be watched. And the wind would blow the fire back into our area again.
The fire actually burned the area I watch for the moon from. They have that area closed off.
I’m going to beg your forgiveness and say it’s highly likely that I won’t be able to watch for the moon tonight. If I can I will. But right now it’s not looking too promising.Updated Jul 4, 2019, 11:06 PM
