Psalms 119, the love of the Law of Elohim

פ pei, meaning mouth.  Psalms 119:129 – 136 is a portion full of words beginning with the Hebrew alphabet פ.  I will place a פ with all of the Hebrew words that began with it.  Correct use of our mouth is a very important thing.

Psalm 119 :129 Thy Testimon(ies) are (פ) wonderful

Exodus 16:34 As יהוה commanded  Moses, so Aaron laid it up before the Testimony, to be kept.

therefore doth my soul keep them.

Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin……

Psalm 119:130 The (פ) entrance of they words

for I longed for thy commandments

Gen 2:15 And יהוה commanded (command, delegate authority while retaining control, decreeing circumstances, order) the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil; thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Ps 119:132 (פ) Look thou upon me,

Ex 7:23 And Pharaoh turned (his face) and went into his house, neither did he set his heart to this also.

and be merciful unto me,

Exodus 33:19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of יהוה before thee; and will be gracious (bestow traits, such as fulfilling a request for favor or equipping with intellectual abilities) to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy (fondle, love, compassionate) on whom I will shew mercy.

as thou usest to do unto those that love thy name.  132 Order

Genesis 41:32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established, erected, set up, prepared) by Elohim, and Elohim will shortly bring it to pass.

my (פ) steps

Genesis 2:23 And Adam said This is now (this time) bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

A comment of explanation for my choice of scriptures:  Elohim had made the animals which Adam named and the scriptures record there was no helpmate found for Adam, so when Elohim cause sleep to fall on Adam and woman was taken from his flesh.  Adam responds “this time” it is bone of MY bone and flesh of MY flesh.

in thy word;

Something said or spoken Genesis 4:23 And Lamech said unto his wives, Adah and Zillah, Hear my voice, ye wives of Lamech, harken unto my speech:….

and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.

Gen 4:6,7 And יהוה said unto Cain, Why are thou wroth? and shy is thy countenance fallen?  If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted?  and if thou doest not well, sin (iniquity) lieth at the door, and thou (sin) shalt rule over (dominion) him.

Psalms 119:134 (פ) Deliver me

Exodus 13:13 And every firstling of an ass thou shalt redeem (severe, ransom, release, preserve) with a lamb; and if thou wilt not redeem it, then thou shalt break his neck; and all the first born of men among thy children shalt thou redeem.

from the oppression of man:

Ezekiel 22:12 In thee have they taken gifts to shed blood; thou has taken usury and increase, and thou has greedily gained of the neighbors by extortion (injury, fraud, distress, unjust gain), and hast forgotten me, saith Adonai יהוה

so will I keep (hedge, guard, protect, attend to) thy (פ) precepts.

Precepts or piqud in Hebrew are the mandated times of visiting: the feast of Elohim  Psalms 103:18 To such as keep his covenant, and to those that remember his commandments (invest with purpose and responsibility) to do them.

Psalms 119:135 Make thy (פ) face to shine upon they servant, and teach me thy statutes.

Statutes: enacting laws that prescribe activity Exodus 15:25,26 And he cried unto יהוה and יהוה showed him a tree, which when he had cast into the water, the water were made sweet: there he made for them a statue (an enactment, appointment, hack, engrave) and an ordinance (verdict, judgment, sentence), and there he proved them, And said If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of יהוה  thy Elohim, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all of his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: For I am יהוה that healeth thee.

Psalms 119: 136 Rivers of water run down mine eyes, because they keep not thy law.

Rewritten from my understanding:

פ Pei:   From my mouth (פה) I proclaim that the spoken Law of authority of Yehovah’s mouth (פה) is miraculous and this why my souls faithfully guards them.  When I open Your words to see into them Your face shine upon me. Your words are able to give wisdom and understanding to the silly, emptied headed person.  I opened up my mouth and hastened to swallow it in covetous panting for I longed for thy Law.  Turn with your face towards me and be bestow unto me the favor of Your compassionate love.  With the same love as You have loved those who have gone-on, those that have loved the judgements of Thy Name: which is Thy authority, Thy testimony of character.  Establish and prepare my time on this earth in the things You have spoken to us, don’t let lawlessness gain dominion over me as in did in Cain.  Severe, ransom, release and preserve me from the injury, fraud, distress and the unjust gain of man then I will attend and guard the fundamentals of your covenant of Law and marriage.
