Good morning group;

Several of you have reached out to me about the field where I found the barley to be acceptable for wave sheaf. You have expressed a desire for me to return to the area for a final check.

Honestly, I myself, don’t need to go back. We’ve followed the grains for three days after they were harvested and watched their progression of drying. I’m well satisfied with this large patch of barley and have no further questions about its acceptability.

However, if you feel this need, I will return. Travel to the south is not free, it will cost me about NIS300 to go and return. NIS 70-80 are the toll roads and the balance it for diesel to the vehicle.

If you want this final inspection I’m asking you specifically to fund me and I will go.

I’ve already invested from my first trip: NIS 400 diesel, NIS 650 lodging, NIS 70 for toll roads. =$325. Staying in the south on a moshav was cheaper than the NIS 200 + NIS 70 for diesel and tolls that it would require if I came home every day…that is even if I wanted to inspect from sun up to sunset and then still drive 2 hours one direction.

If you’d like to fund this additional inspection private message me and I’ll let the group know when the funds have been received for a return trip.

Edited: You should also be aware of this fact: As I was looking at this patch of barley there were probably about 150 heads of sheep and goats grazing in the trees just behind this barley. To me, it was miraculous that a patch of barley this size even existed with a flock this large living in the area. The Bedouin’s get a wink and a pass in being able to set up lean-tos (they’re still somewhat nomadic) while grazing their flocks in our national parks. These areas are some of the best barley fields so the Father’s barley fields have become their grazing land.

If you fund me to go back we may find the field has been eaten by the flock. 1) you should pray it’s protected from the flock; which the Father has already provided once 2) or that there is something of it left to inspect.

If you want to ‘bless us’ for the first report that I delivered here you can pray that the Father continues to send tourists to stay in our apartment that we let-out for tourism. Now coronavirus will be affecting tourism in Israel too. But our Father is bigger.

Tourism is seasonal here and it can be feast or famine. Right now, we are pretty booked up until around mid-May.

Since our only steady source of income is my husband’s social security benefit of $1700 a month; which doesn’t even cover the basic basket of living in Israel, the income from the apartment is a great benefit.

This year I will be able to take my social retirement benefit as well, that also will help us out….the perks of getting old I suppose. Even with our combined benefits together we would need to count absolutely every penny and pray for no bumps…..So, you can petition the Father to bless our little endeavor to support ourselves in our retirement year.

Thanks.Updated Mar 1, 2020, 7:12 AM
