Shabbat morning in the garden.

Living by the words of the Torah = faith in Yeshua and then obedience to the Father’s commands.

His blessing of abundance was tied to agriculture when the Israeli had to grow food or not be able to eat. Those blessings are still apparent here in my garden. Next year there will be a lot less food purchased from the grocery store.

While I’ve read several accounts of sukkot being blown about by the storm yesterday, for which I feel sorry. I’m still so very happy that the first earnest (gully washer) rain fell in the region of the Galilee yesterday evening. We’ve had showers that promised the heavy rains but yesterday was our first heavy rain in the Galilee

After almost 5 years in Israel, I have learned the meaning of the scriptural blessing of rain. Every year we have a 5-ish month pause in all precipitation from heaven. When it returns it is a joyous event. I do mean joyous. At least to one who understands the scripture.

The rains came in with a bang of thunders and lightning. The kid in me had to go out and play in it. What a blessing, what joy.Updated Oct 18, 2019, 4:13 AM
