Update: figs

There are many signs that I personally look for to know that we are approaching the turn of the year, my signs are many and varied because I live here and have learned the ebb and flow of the land. But there are 7-8 standard signs that some of the groups that come to Israel to inspect barley are looking to see when they arrive to know the timing of the barley.

Almond blooms and anemonies usually show up 30 days before the barley is Aviv. We have both of those.

Then there’s things like the migratory birds from Jer 8:7 (turtle dove, cranes, swallow and Egyptian storks) we don’t have YET.

The lambs and kids should be born around the first of the year; we don’t have these yet but I’m thinking I’ll ask my neighbor the Bedouin he would know when his nannies and ewes are due.

The figs show up on the trees; I saw them today.

And then they want the grapevines to bloom.

So,now we have figs on the tree to add to our almond blooms, our anemonies, our barley, and our oats. I don’t think I’m crying wolf…..there’s a real chance we could be keeping Pesach next month.

There’s a video link that I made about the timing we are in https://youtu.be/COxroL0RQ9IUpdated Feb 15, 2020, 3:38 PM

Weather report for Shabbat….. as we have started the barley watch:

Cold and wet weather has returned to Israel. Heavy snow on Mt Hermon; rain across in entire nation; thunderstorms in some areas. Across the nation, the high today is 15c (59F) with Hermon coming in a 1c (33F) [but it’s currently -2.4c/27f].

This is exactly why I won’t try to predict the barley. We wait for the Master Husbandman to do what He will do. Yes, it’s exciting; every year it’s exciting. It’s literally like seeing the Unseen Elohim by the work of His hands.

We turned the furnace back on today and I’m in one of my
wool shirts.

Thursday and Friday will see a break in the weather in the south and Tel Aviv. Sunny with temps around 19c/70f This will cause a big change in the height of the barley in the northern Negev….why the height? Because it doesn’t lack for water.Updated Feb 9, 2020, 9:00 PM

https://youtu.be/DxecaKCK7kUI mention that there might be two parts, there’s only one part, this part.

(I promised a verse that I didn’t cover. The reason to layout the barley in bundles that measured to be an omer of grains was to pay the tithes on the increase of their seed and if they had dedicated the field to Elohim they had to pay an amount by the omer.

Lev 27:16 And if a man shall sanctify unto the Lord some part of a field of his possession, then thy estimation shall be according to the seed thereof:** an homer of barley seed shall be valued at fifty shekels of silver.**)

Hybridization started in the barley-wheat grains started in earnest in 1960. Is it possible that the King James translators understood the term Aviv differently than the modern man understands it? In my opinion, I think the answer is yes. I believe they had grains that responded more closely to the wild grains in Israel.

This is what I believe about the timing of the barley harvest. It’s based on my experience living in Israel and the patterns and words of the scripture.

Would you join me in praying for the Believers that are keeping this month as their 11th month?

Can I tell you something? I cried and prayed for them all the way home from the barley fields today. My heart is so broken for them.

What if we have barley ready for next month? Some will have their eyes opened, others will harden their hearts. Many are saying there can’t be 11 months only in the calendar or 14 months. I say, watch the barley. That’s the only job we are given, watch the barley. If the barley was to be ready for next month they would see it as an error on the inspectors part, but not on their inspector.

Can I tell you something else? I heard the precious Ruach whisper to me that they are eating from a foreign table and they are eating the tares of the enemy of Elohim. They think they are eating from the Father’s table, but they are eating tares.
