Just checking my email before heading to bed and found this in there. This is a report from Thursday night:

שלום לכולם וחודש טוב.
אתמול השמים התכסו בעננות גבוהה והיקשו עוד יותר על ראיית הירח.
קיבלתי דיווח בודד על ראייה באמצעות משפקת מאת רבקה בידרמן בשעה 17:08
, לזמן קצר וללא ראייה בעין (ולמעשה לאחר מכן גם ללא ראייה במשקפת עקב העננות).

Hello All
The new moon was not seen from Israel yesterday with the naked eye. Rebecca Biderman saw the moon briefly with binoculras: “I was able to see the moon at 17 hours and 8 minutes with binoculars only. Literally it was there and gone within a matter of 2 minutes. By the time I could get my binoculars down and look at the time on the phone and bring my binoculars back up after noting the time the moon was gone. The same has been true of Mercury, I saw Mercury briefly through binoculars and it disappeared almost as quickly as it appeared. From poriya Ilit there was no new moon sighting. “

The sky’s presentation this erev shabbat. Will there be a photograph? We shall soon see.

That highest cloud is exactly a hand spam above the horizon. In 30 minutes it is possible it will drop down into the clearing….and then again, the clouds can move, lol. The Elohim of cliff hangers, it’s so much fun waiting to see what His will is. You dont have to guess, either it can or can’t be seen. Hi guys, this is a report on the new moon sighting here from Poriya Ilit. I was able to see the moon at 17 hours and 8 minutes with binoculars only. Literally, it was there and gone within a matter of 2 minutes. By the time I could get my binoculars down and look at the time on the phone and bring my binoculars back up after noting the time the moon was gone.
