On top of Gerizim, there is still barley on the stalk and flowers still in bloom. In fact, there were more than a fair share of insects on the Mt Gerizim mountaintop. The insect in Israel migrate up to the higher elevations as the vegetation in the lower areas dry and die.

I would have loved to have had the opportunity to ask a millions questions about this book. It is used to calculate the beginnig of their years. they don’t use the new moon. Whatever their calculations their for this year had an intercalated month. I wonder if it is not because their seasons are a bit different. As you may have noticed I could still find barley and blooming flowers on the top of Mount Gerizim
