Monday will be my final residency appointment before I can apply for citizenship. I’ll probably have to wait about 6 months to apply, maybe a few days less, but I have to pay back any amount of time that I left the country in the last five years to see my family 👎. So all of the days in the last five years that I went back to the US will be tallied together and I will serve that additional time until I have accumulated 1,825 days of life in Israel. From my calculations, which are estimates, I’ll have between four and five months to make up. Had I known this from the beginning I could tell you the exact number of days but they only told me this last year and no, it’s not published so that you will know ahead of time. None the less, after Monday the next appointment will be dropping off forms and the interview for citizenship.Updated Jan 26, 2020, 11:42 AM
