Rarely do I read much less post another person’s work on Israel’s wild barley because I’m so busy in the field myself that I don’t have time for studying another man’s words.

This year I also determined and said to another brother that we have required signs of things in the land of Israel that the scriptures do not require for Passover or Wave Sheaf. I told him I do not need a stork for the Pesach meal.

The Passover meal needed lambs and bitter herbs. The people would have been eating last year’s barley until the Wave Sheaf date. The Wave sheaf date needs the earliest acceptable barley from Israel.

This year the first fruits in the Re’im field showed me that with a very very early wave sheaf such as the example we have been given this year, that there is still a month before the general harvest from the land will present itself; a more general harvest is the criteria of the other inspectors. Because of this early wave sheaf, in my mind, I am now free to travel to J’lem with my earliest Firstfruits, keep the week of Unleavened, and return for the balance of the harvest of barley. This was always a huge concern for me. My approach is how do the words we have been given work on the land of Israel and in the lives of those people who lived by those words. When our focus is correct it all fits together.

Kudos to Joseph on realizing the pattern of drying the already cut standing wave sheaf in the fields across the Kidron Valley. I concur. I believed and still do that barley sheaves would have been dried on a threshing floor, which is a flat stone, and that the barley sheaves on a hot stone threshing floor would have dried very quickly……what is the Temple location of Elohim in J’lem? A Threshing Floor!

And Ornan turned back, and saw the angel; and his four sons with him hid themselves. Now Ornan was threshing wheat. And as David came to Ornan, Ornan looked and saw David, and went out of the threshingfloor, and bowed himself to David with *his* face to the ground. Then David said to Ornan, Grant me the place of *this*threshingfloor, that I may build an altar therein unto the LORD: thou shalt grant it me for the full price: that the plague may be stayed from the people. 1 Ch 21:20-22
