In reading the news today I bumped onto this photo of Hebron. Look at the beautiful wild barley in the foreground, it is the grain that is bowing. That barley has a day or two at the most before it will start shattering in the middle of the head and dropping to the earth. How can I be sure? It’s going to get close to 100 degrees where I’m at today, those grains will dry fast now. Look at the beautiful golden color. I’ve seen ‘greener’ barley than this completely shattered. What’s the point? You have to check the condition of the grains inside of the head to know when the barley is aviv. You can’t tell by looking at the outside of the plant.
