I am trying to upload a video that includes more information about the lambs in the photos that I posted to this group. With the children out of school because of all the rockets falling here, as you can imagine, there’s not much bandwidth. I’m having trouble getting the video to upload because it is so slow.

https://tpl-il.com/archives/8608This is what the rock attack on Israel looked like last night (further north), over twenty missiles were launched towards the city of Ashkelon and here in my area there were rockets fire just north of me in Kissufim and south of me in Sulfa and Nir Yitzak (the people in these two kibbutzim were some of the ones that were dragged out of Gaza forcibly when the land was given to our terrorist neighbor)

I learned that we do not get a red alert for every rocket launched at us, I heard a lot more rocket than I’m seeing red alerts. I learned that the Iron Dome is louder than the rockets. I learned that they will fire a few rockets at the kibbutzim and moshavim, but they prefer the bigger areas like Ashkelon where they have a better chance at taking life. And I learned that the peace of Elohim truly does surpass natural understanding.

Hi group, I’d really like to sleep tonight. Rockets out of Gaza are being fired as I text . The map is where one of the red alerts were, the blue circle is where I’m staying. Ask the Father with me that I get to sleep and not spend the night running to the bombshelter, thanks.

I’m going to post this and turn the comments off. We have some thinking to do as Believers and Followers of the one true ancient path and I’m pointing all my fingers at me, especially me because I live here and have never thought to challenge what I have believed until this year.

Here goes, please prayerfully seek His face over this statement.
**What does a Biblical field look like?**

1) Land that is not walled off is a field could be redeemed

But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be counted as the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubile. Leviticus 25:1

2) Fields exist inside of cities

Also of the sons of Aaron the priests, which were in the fields of the suburbs of their cities, in every several city, the men that were expressed by name, to give portions to all the males among the priests, and to all that were reckoned by genealogies among the Levites. 2 Chronicles 31:19

3) Fields exist on mountains

Ye mountains of Gilboa (to loom up, a high mountain), let there be no dew, neither let there be rain, upon you, nor fields of offerings: for there the shield of the mighty is vilely cast away, the shield of Saul, as though he had not been anointed with oil. 2 Samuel 1:21

4) Fields exist on ridges and ravines (deep valleys)

And the king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the door, to bring forth out of the temple of the LORD all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the grove, and for all the host of heaven: and he burned them without Jerusalem in the fields of Kidron, and carried the ashes of them unto Bethel. 2 Kings 23:4

5) Fields existed in the forest

Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood (ya’ar, forest). Ps 132:6

6) Fields exist in the hills

I have seen thine adulteries, and thy neighings, the lewdness of thy whoredom, and thine abominations on the hills (gib’ah, low mountain) in the fields. Woe unto thee, O Jerusalem! wilt thou not be made clean? when shall it once be? Jeremiah 13:27

7) Fields have depth of soil, not a lack of stones

Some fell upon stony places, where they had not much earth: and forthwith they sprung up, because they had no deepness of earth: Mat 13:5

Nay, my lord, hear me: the field give I thee, and the cave that is therein, I give it thee; in the presence of the sons of my people give I it thee: bury thy dead. Gen 23:11 (Shechem near Mount Gerazim what is known as modern-day Nablas in the West Bank and near the tomb of the Patriarchs)

8) Animals grazed near areas where there were fields, in other words, there were not separated areas where only flocks were allowed to feed.

If a man shall cause a field or vineyard to be eaten, and shall put in his beast, and shall feed in another man’s field; of the best of his own field, and of the best of his own vineyard, shall he make restitution. Exodus 22:5

9) The location of the book of Ruth

The book of Ruth is a story based in Bethlehem Judah. An area that is traditionally thought of as an area for shepherding animals, which to my previous understanding made it an area that would not qualify to be considered as appropriate for a grain offering. But clearly, Boaz had at least one field of barley and one field of wheat that Ruth gleaned from. Please read the story of Ruth to see the details of what I am saying. I’m also going to attach an image from Google earth of that area, Bethlehem is dead center. Bethlehemjudah, simply means the tribal seat of Judah, in the village of Bethlehem.

I repent and apologize for not being a better student of the Word. I live in Isreal and only now am looking at this subject in the scripture before I was following what others were doing 🙁 Test all things. Now I’ll try harder.

I myself, have a LOT of prayerful rethinking to do.

Additional information on land size:

From: “Biblical and Talmudic units of measurement”

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Biblical_and_Talmudic_units_of_measurement

The Israelite system of measuring area was fairly informal; the biblical text merely measures areas by describing how much land could be sown with a certain volume measure of seed, for example the amount of land able to be sown with 2 seahs of barley. The closest thing to a formal area unit was the yoke (Hebrew: צמדtsemed) (sometimes translated as acre), which referred to the amount of land that a pair of yoked oxen could plough in a single day; in Mesopotamia the standard estimate for this was 6,480 square cubits, which is roughly equal to a third of an acre.

(This is so reasonable to my mind. When you try to break the earth here not only is it mostly clay that is hard as a stone but there are stones scattered throughout the soil in most regions of the country. I can absolutely understand that it would take a pair of oxen an entire day to only a 1/3 of an acre. I’ve tried to use a shovel in the dry season and I’ve learned that I can achieve more if I use the garden hose and wet the earth first before I dig and add more as needed.)

“Searah” (Hebrew: שערה) – (pl. searot) hair, square 1⁄36 of a geris

“Adashah” (Hebrew: עדשה) – (pl. adashot) lentils, 1⁄9 of a geris

“Geris” (Hebrew: גריס) – (pl. gerisin) hulled fava bean, a circle with a diameter of about 2 centimeters (0.8 in)

“Amah al amah” (Hebrew: אמהעלאמה) – (pl. amot) square cubit 0.232 to 0.328 m2 (2.50-3.53 ft2)

“Beit rova” (Hebrew: ביתרובע) – (pl. batei rova) space for sowing 1⁄4 of a kav 24 to 34.5 m2 (258–372 ft2)

“Beit seah” (Hebrew: ביתסאה) – (pl. batei seah) space for sowing a seah 576 to 829.5 m2 (689-992 yd2)

“Beit kor” (Hebrew: ביתכור) – (pl. batei kor) space for sowing a kor of seed, or what is 30 seah in volume; the area needed is appx. 1.73 to 2.48 hectares (4.27-6.15 acres), or about 23,000 m2 in area.

Edited: My 81-year-old mom has recounted to me more than once of her childhood behind a garden hoe as she cleaned weeds out of the furrows between the rows of plants in their family garden. Granted, Mom is not as old as the forefathers, but the necessity for food for Grandpa’s family of seven children was no less urgent than the forefathers. Grandpa and Grandma were poor, mom tells of going barefoot and saving her shoes for trips to school and town. Mom said they grew everything that they ate except for a few basics like flour and sugar. They kept Christmas and gifts for them was an apple and a piece of storebought candy, truly mom grew up poor. Back to mom’s work in the garden. When mom cleaned the furrows in the garden of the weeds she said sparks would fly as her metal hoe struck stones in the earth.

Well, there you go. I held my tongue but I’ve seen several couples I’ve been unable to photograph.

Edited: I want to tell you a fun story about yesterday. You all know that I stepped out in faith against our funds and bought the vehicle that I needed for the comfort of my husband. Turns out it’s a pretty good barley wagon, too.

When I was out towards the fish-farm ponds and saw that they were empty of water I decided I needed to look around other waterways for storks. If they were here they were going to be looking for food after that long fight out of Africa.

I talk the hubby into go with me and we head off around the Kineret. When we get over by Cursi we’re chatting and I’m driving and I let out a loud exclamation of “oh, oh, oh” because I saw a stork going down into an area of trees near a fair-weather creek. He thought something was wrong, lol. My husband had no idea what the ruckus was about, lol. But we never did find the stork when we left the road to try and get a photo. But we had fun and he was able to enjoy himself.
