Iâm writing you with a heavy heart today.
I read the announcement that Solomon Myer made concerning his decision to no longer share publically the results of his Aviv barley inspections past this year. Please do take time to locate and read that announcement.
I know exactly how he feels. I would rather face a raging atheist or a raging Haredi Jew than a person saying that they are a member of the body of Messiah that has an aggressive agenda. You have no idea the time I have spent on chats when individuals are bent on correcting my beliefs. Who in the end hits the unfriend-button because they could not convert me to their agenda. Thatâs right, agenda. And it happened again just last week. This one waited for the chat light to come on to see me come on the computer and would immediately start engaging me about my beliefs on the flow of Aviv feasts.
âBy this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:35â
Yet in the midst of the assaults, I find my greatest joy is sharing my faith with anyone who will listen. I find great joy in sharing what my eyes are blessed to see and participate in on this Land. I find I cannot be silent because I know it is the TRUE testimony of the Messiah. It is how that early believer understood Him to be their Messiah. It is how we recognize Him to be The Prophet, The Son of Man, The Son of Elohim, The Melech Tzadik Priest, and The King of Israel. Why? How? Could I keep this from anyone who wants to receive this witness?
” For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” 1 Peter 1:24-25
However, it is because of the assaults my dear friends, the Body of Messiah, my brethren, that I keep the comments mostly turned off. We ARE each responsible for what we believe. I have a surprise for you. What I have learned, all of it, the Land has taught me by listening to the Holy Spirit repeat scriptures I have stored up in my heart. And at other times I hear Him as He whispers about the cycles and pattern or the yearly process of this land. Then I have to go to the Bible and prove or disprove what Iâm hearing. This yearâs hot topic of contention is whether or not the Israelites were supposed to have planted barley. I have written my response in detail and it will be withheld until the end of the season, then I will give it in its final form. These are not topics I pick, rather they pick me.
Last year I was unsure if the Aviv barley in Egypt was destroyed or not. This year the lesson I understand according to what Iâve experienced on the Land AND the scripture tells me this is not the example we are given to understand concerning the death and resurrection of the Messiah. His physical body DID resurrect and stayed with his disciples for 40 days before he ascended. I BELIEVE that he was changed into his incorruptible body as he ascended out of their sight. Again, this is my faith. I am giving you my testimony of what and why I believe.
Iâve only been in Israel for four Aviv seasons. The Land is still teaching me the scriptures. I expect that what I believe and see from the Land will continue to be fine-tuned over the years, Elohim willing that I should be allowed to remain here in His service.
I find one of the hardest things of people on social media is to respect boundaries that others have set for groups or on individual profiles. Most everyone thinks that they can and should be the exception. I did not start the group to be a platform for discussion of scriptural interpretation. I did start the group to share what I see and how it is shaping my beliefs. I openly share it and you are free to glean from it or reject it. I am not the Holy Spirit. If I have watered, it I have planted then to ×××× is all honor and glory, because it is Him that gives the increase.
Brethren, all the spitting, and scratching in the world will not give increase into the Kingdom of Heaven; only He can bring forth that fruit. Answer for your faith with the correct spirit, but walk away from those who lack that spirit.
Romans 12: Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 IF IT BE POSSIBLE, AS MUCH AS LIETH IN YOU, LIVE PEACEABLE WITH ALL MEN. 19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.
Solomon Meyers uses a different standard for determining the year, but he is also a peace-loving respectable man that has studied the scriptures and the land to form his PERSONAL beliefs. We canât get to the New Jerusalem by riding the skirt tails of anotherâs beliefs. Each and every one of us should strive, wrestle, seek to understand what ELOHIM wanted us to understand when He gave the words we treasure. Solomon Meyers has never trolled Facebook to engage in aggressive debates and behavior. We could all use his peaceable stance as an example of desirable behavior to be displayed by ourselves towards each other.
Donât count me as arrogant in my beliefs. I cannot tell you the number of ways what I believed has been changed and shaped after moving to Israel. I am not arrogant in my belief, I do understand that when my end comes the only thing that will count is what Iâve based my life on, what I have lived my life by. The only one who can do the work of shaping me it the Spirit of the Living Elohim.
Everything that we believe should be based on to the best of our personal abilities understanding the PURE Word of Elohim and seeking that narrow path that the world has obscured, that few will find. If that doesnât cause you to take seriously all of your beliefs against the light of the scriptures then nothing will. Many, many times I have heard a âwordâ or a âthoughtâ planted or watered in my brain that another person has said in a brief post and it has at times changed my entire belief about whatever the subject was. Thatâs the Spirit of Elohim speaking to my life, but screaming at me on chat, etc is not His voice.
Thanks for your ear. Letâs ALL (me too) strive to be kinder and more respectful of each other’s hard earned beliefs especially those with sincere hearts seeking that âancient pathâ that was established from the beginning. May we ALL continue to change and grow in understanding!Updated Mar 10, 2018, 8:20 AM

Concerning my post on Ex 9:31 I wanted to bring up that the Strong’s Concordance says this word means:
H5221
to strike, smite, hit, beat, slay, kill
(Niphal) to be stricken or smitten
(Pual) to be stricken or smitten
(Hiphil)
to smite, strike, beat, scourge, clap, applaud, give a thrust
to smite, kill, slay (man or beast)
to smite, attack, attack and destroy, conquer, subjugate, ravage
to smite, chastise, send judgment upon, punish, destroy
(Hophal) to be smitten
to receive a blow
to be wounded
to be beaten
to be (fatally) smitten, be killed, be slain
to be attacked and captured
to be smitten (with disease)
to be blighted (of plants)
Strong’s leaves room for the barley to have been destroyed. I strongly disagree with James Strong here and in a few other places in his concordance.
Here is what the Etymological Dictionary of Biblical Hebrew says:
× .×.×.
Disable; strike blow.
The usage in Exodus 9:30 is a prime root meaning exactly the definition as given.
From this root the following words are formed: 1) striking 2) suffering 3) disabling 4) crippled 5) excluding
No destruction is mentioned.Updated Mar 10, 2018, 12:22 AM

While I was out of the house today I noticed that the anemones were starting to drop their petals, so I swung by and took a look at the flax. Although this is just the second year to follow the flax the plant is exactly where I’d expect it to be. As the anemones fade from the earth for the season the next major bloom is the flax flowers. Today I could clearly see buds beginning to form on the flax plant.
Sadly, one whole long hill where there had been so many blooms last year had been sprayed with a hormone disrupter (like Roundup) and those plants were turning brown. However, there were still many left untouched to watch for our season.Updated Mar 9, 2018, 2:06 PM

We will be conducting a zoom meeting during the barley inspections!
âMarch 8, 2018
Hi Folks,
â
We will be conducting a Zoom Meeting online March 17 from Israel at 1 pm EST (US). We will be presenting a summation of the results of the inspection in a format where you will be able to ask questions pertaining to them. This will not be a format for airing any opinions or specific doctrine. We conduct our inspections in a manner to cover many different particular beliefs. So with that said, if anyone decides to function in a contentious manner; as the apostle Paul puts it, we will terminate their participation. This will be after the Sabbath in Israel, but many of the folks who will be participating will still be conducting the Sabbath observance. Brethren who look to this information are found in almost every nation on earth, even communist China, so please be respectful of the entire body even if they may appear different than you. Not everyone is composed of the more comely appearances. I (Brian) am a perfect example of that.
Keep safe and thank you for loving our Creators.

Ex 9:31 And the flax and the barley was smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was bolled.
A lot of people are teaching that in Ex 9:31 the barley was ‘destroyed’. I want to ask you to consider this against the barley as a typology of the Messiah. If the barley is a typology of the Messiah then the barley was not destroyed as some would have you to believe.
It was Yeshua’s human body (barley) that was raised from the grave. Was it smitten or struck? Yes. Did it fall down? Yes. Was it destroyed? No. His human body (barley) was raised from the dead. He told Mary not to touch him. Then told Thomas to touch him. Touch what? His human body. His hands and his side. He ate fish and honey with his disciple on the shores of the Galilee after His resurrection. He was in his human form.
Barley represents all humanity. The only difference between types of barleys are the people that become unleavened barley loaves as Messiah was unleavened.
We saw last year that the winds blew down the tall barley in our Aviv field. That barley though laying on the ground was able to finish developing its grain. It would have been an increase in the amount of labor but the barley could have been lifted and still harvested. Though it was smitten by the wind, in this case, it was not destroyed when it was knocked to the earth.
Messiah says “Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.” John 12:24 The seed falls to the ground and dies, but it doesn’t mean the body of it was destroyed. The seed was not shattered.
Yeshua was referring to himself when he said a grain of wheat. As the Son of Man he was the rosh habikkrim of BARLEY (mankind); and as the Son of Elohim He carried the puff of the Spirit of Elohim so He was also WHEAT, He was eternal, He was the first wheat loaf with the leaven (puff) of the Holy Spirit of Elohim. Because just as Elohim had puffed the puff of life into the first Adam, so the second Adam came to us in His eternal (puff of life) form as well.
That barley or human body of Yeshua was not destroyed it was raised to life. Later His corruptible body (barley) was changed in a moment to an incorruptible body (wheat), just as the scripture says, that is how we know these things to be true:
1 Cor 15:51 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, ***but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye,*** at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed. 53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
The dead will be raised in their incorruptible bodies. Those in human (barley) bodies will BE CHANGED! Just as happened with our beloved Messiah.
The barley in Egypt was smitten, it was knocked to the earth, but the plant was not destroyed. It represents what the Messiah was coming to do.
The word smitten in the Strong’s Concordance says this word means:

(Hophal) to be smitten
to receive a blow
to be wounded
to be beaten
to be (fatally) smitten, be killed, be slain
to be attacked and captured
to be smitten (with disease)
to be blighted (of plants)

Tomorrow they are calling for extreme sharov conditions. Those hot winds we need to mature the barley. As soon as the hot winds hit the barley the race to make a seed will begin.
There was a file of Egyptian storks about a mile long over head this evening. They were flying single file calling loudly. I suppose their bellies were full of frogs from the fish farms down south and they were headed back to the reserve up north for the night.Tomorrow they are calling for extreme sharov conditions.
