There’s such a metaphor when you see the flocks grazing on the hillsides around the country. The Bible says Israel was to be the flocks of Elohim. I’ve watched the grazing herds every chance I get and from the road or any small distance, it looks like they are rock eating sheep and goats. What you can’t see it there are little tuffs of greenery growing from underneath the rocks out of the soil that the rock keeps moist and protects from the sun. Just enough to graze flocks without needing to feed them.
That’s just like the Jewish-Israeli people. We live in a hostile environment. Mostly dessert. Our neighbors want to kill us. But still we manage to find enough here to sustain us: Hope for tomorrow, Hope for Mashiach, Hope for the tribes to return, Hope for our children…… So today the schools are open in the Golan and so will be their bomb shelters that each school is equipped with. And if there are not missiles falling on our head life will go on as if nothing happened last night but underneath there will be a little bit more determination for the day.Updated May 10, 2018, 9:46 AM
