Beloved, the time of the Aviv is coming on strong. As the barley approaches aviv the sheep will also start their Lambing season. The Lambs according to Torah must be 7 days old to qualify for a Pesach offering and no more than 12 months old.

Ex 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

4 And if the household be too little for the lamb, let him and his neighbour next unto his house take it according to the number of the souls; every man according to his eating shall make your count for the lamb.

5 Your lamb shall be without blemish, a male of the first year: ye shall take it out from the sheep, or from the goats:

6 And ye shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month: and the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

The Lambs had to be with the mother (ewe) 7 days

Exodus 22: 29 “You shall not delay to offer the first of your ripe produce and your juices. The firstborn of your sons you shall give to Me. 30 Likewise you shall do with your oxen and your sheep. It shall be with its mother seven days; on the eighth day you shall give it to Me.

Lev 22: 26 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: 27 “When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall be seven days with its mother; and from the eighth day and thereafter it shall be accepted as an offering made by fire to the Lord.

***It is my personal belief*** that as the One who was preeminent in all things (Col 1:13-19) and the Lamb of Elohim, Yeshua, would have been the first Lamb born in the Lambing season in the year of His birth. His birth would have been on the first of the month of the Aviv. I personally believe on the first day of that year since He is preeminent in all things.

Lambing season is why the shepherds would have been in the fields watching their flock by night.

Luke 2:8 And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.

9 And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.

10 And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.

11 For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

12 And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.

Hear about the concern and prayer that is being asked over the Jacob Sheep. Realize that approaching the month of the aviv the ewes start their lambing and the lions (of those days which are now extinct), the wolves, the coyotes, and the jackels would be looking for a vulnerable easy target for a meal. The smell of the blood and the afterbirth would have filled the air during these days which their keen noses would have been in tune with.

There were no facilities like the Jacob Sheep have. The shepherds would have been in the fields with the flocks guarding against attack. They were protecting the vulnerable ones just like our Great Shepherds watches out over us.Updated Jan 26, 2019, 7:54 AM

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qrCIh8hEwU0One thing that has been driven home to me living in Israel is the beautiful picture of resurrection and eternal life.

Every year as a desert does when it blooms the land explodes in an intense and breathtaking display of new life. For four brief months, the dead land lives again. What has spent 8 months dry, dusty, and buried beneath the earth comes alive again bringing promise and hope to the Believer.

Paul says in 1 Cor 15: 35 But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?

36 Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die:

37 And that which thou sowest, thou sowest not that body that shall be, but bare grain, it may chance of wheat, or of some other grain:

Peter says in 1 Peter 1:1 22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently:

23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

24 For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away:

25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.

In modern Hebrew Aviv means Springtime. It’s Springtime in Israel, for two of those four months we enjoy Aviv in the modern meaning of the word, Springtime, in the Biblical meaning of the word the month of the Aviv will come in those two months.

Are you tired of the struggle of this existence? Spring is coming.

Have you said goodbye to a loved one in faith? Spring is coming.

Are you approaching the end of your days? Spring is coming.

If you have received the wheat seed of the Word? Spring is coming. That wheat seed, the Word will cause an eternal Spring day to happen when all of those who died in faith will be born from their winter sleep into an eternal Aviv/Spring. It will be a spiritual explosion in an intense breathtaking display of new life in incorruptible bodies….spring is coming……aviv is coming.

I had a thought today as I was working on the roof with our volunteers….

If you would LIKE to or feel lead to donate for the installation of a very simple staircase to the rooftop please send me a private message.

For 4 years I have been packing my car with cameras, compasses, binoculars, etc. Putting on heavy layers of clothing in the rainy winter months and going out to watch for the new moon sliver. Every month I have reported what I’ve seen. This year I have been enabled to see it from our home via the rooftop

I don’t believe I’ve ever asked for a donation on the process. Though in the past some have indicated a desire to give towards the new moon sightings.

Our rooftop is better location over the ground positions I have been using. The problem is, I’m terribly intimidated to climb the ladder wearing a heavy backpack, not to mention the increased risk of slippage after a rain on the round metal rungs on the mounted ladder and descending the ladder in the dark at the end of the moon watchI had a thought today as I was working on the roof with our volunteers….
