On October 26th, you can see in the photo provided there’s a lot of ‘noise’ on the horizon that interfered with a moon that is predicted to show up 4 fingers above the earth. The sun was disappearing at 3 fingers above the earth into the low-laying clouds. No one reported seeing the new moon on the 26th, I waited for the INMS to be sure before releasing this statement to you. I think it’s as important to be accurate as it is timely. The skies above Israel on this evening were everything from cloudy to completely cloud-covered. There is always a chance of a late report in these conditions. Since the moon was not seen on the 26th, the next night, the 27th was the first day of the lunar cycle and the month achieved 30 days in the previous month. Below is a photo of the moon on the 27th.
