The renewed moon was sighted at 18:23 on October 23, 2025 by Yoel Halevi from the Zevulun valley, Northen Israel. The moon was also sited by Gadi Eidelheit.
According to the witness of the 7 species which are the 7 first fruits offerings that were given in the temple, this is the 8th biblical month.
