As I’m preparing to go watch for the moon I was looking at the chart another time. I wanted to point something out on the chart.

In the rainy and cold season the azimuth degree of the sun is normally 235-ish up to around 247-ish degrees which would place the moon setting next to or on top of Mount Tabor; in perspective to my viewing location.

This is the first month of the official reset of the sun. Once a year the sun swings widely back to the north in a reset. That would be today, the azimuth of the sun will be at 290 and of course, the moon will follow along.Updated May 23, 2020, 5:12 PM
