https://www.breakingisraelnews.com/146846/amid-heavy-rainfall-israels-desert-gets-a-new-river/For all of you who have asked me about the fresh water returning to the Dead Sea this year I have said to you it that it hasnt been enough. The Dead Sea is huge.

This still isnt enough water but it is still an impressive amount. If this would flow for a year it would make a difference in the level of the sea but this is just run off from the tropical storm they had below the Judian Hills (in the desert area) so it will end quickly.

This is what makes hiking so dangerous in the dry wadis around the Dead Sea region. When it rain in the elevations and the rain begins to run off the hills it accumulates and makes temporary rivers that kill hikers if they are hiking the wadis like people doUpdated Mar 16, 2020, 12:08 PM
