I’m writing you with a heavy heart today.

I read the announcement that Solomon Myer made concerning his decision to no longer share publically the results of his Aviv barley inspections past this year. Please do take time to locate and read that announcement.

I know exactly how he feels. I would rather face a raging atheist or a raging Haredi Jew than a person saying that they are a member of the body of Messiah that has an aggressive agenda. You have no idea the time I have spent on chats when individuals are bent on correcting my beliefs. Who in the end hits the unfriend-button because they could not convert me to their agenda. That’s right, agenda. And it happened again just last week. This one waited for the chat light to come on to see me come on the computer and would immediately start engaging me about my beliefs on the flow of Aviv feasts.

“By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.
John 13:35”

Yet in the midst of the assaults, I find my greatest joy is sharing my faith with anyone who will listen. I find great joy in sharing what my eyes are blessed to see and participate in on this Land. I find I cannot be silent because I know it is the TRUE testimony of the Messiah. It is how that early believer understood Him to be their Messiah. It is how we recognize Him to be The Prophet, The Son of Man, The Son of Elohim, The Melech Tzadik Priest, and The King of Israel. Why? How? Could I keep this from anyone who wants to receive this witness?

” For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you.” 1 Peter 1:24-25

However, it is because of the assaults my dear friends, the Body of Messiah, my brethren, that I keep the comments mostly turned off. We ARE each responsible for what we believe. I have a surprise for you. What I have learned, all of it, the Land has taught me by listening to the Holy Spirit repeat scriptures I have stored up in my heart. And at other times I hear Him as He whispers about the cycles and pattern or the yearly process of this land. Then I have to go to the Bible and prove or disprove what I’m hearing. This year’s hot topic of contention is whether or not the Israelites were supposed to have planted barley. I have written my response in detail and it will be withheld until the end of the season, then I will give it in its final form. These are not topics I pick, rather they pick me.

Last year I was unsure if the Aviv barley in Egypt was destroyed or not. This year the lesson I understand according to what I’ve experienced on the Land AND the scripture tells me this is not the example we are given to understand concerning the death and resurrection of the Messiah. His physical body DID resurrect and stayed with his disciples for 40 days before he ascended. I BELIEVE that he was changed into his incorruptible body as he ascended out of their sight. Again, this is my faith. I am giving you my testimony of what and why I believe.

I’ve only been in Israel for four Aviv seasons. The Land is still teaching me the scriptures. I expect that what I believe and see from the Land will continue to be fine-tuned over the years, Elohim willing that I should be allowed to remain here in His service.

I find one of the hardest things of people on social media is to respect boundaries that others have set for groups or on individual profiles. Most everyone thinks that they can and should be the exception. I did not start the group to be a platform for discussion of scriptural interpretation. I did start the group to share what I see and how it is shaping my beliefs. I openly share it and you are free to glean from it or reject it. I am not the Holy Spirit. If I have watered, it I have planted then to יהוה is all honor and glory, because it is Him that gives the increase.

Brethren, all the spitting, and scratching in the world will not give increase into the Kingdom of Heaven; only He can bring forth that fruit. Answer for your faith with the correct spirit, but walk away from those who lack that spirit.

Romans 12: Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits.
17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. 18 IF IT BE POSSIBLE, AS MUCH AS LIETH IN YOU, LIVE PEACEABLE WITH ALL MEN. 19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. 20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. 21 Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.

Solomon Meyers uses a different standard for determining the year, but he is also a peace-loving respectable man that has studied the scriptures and the land to form his PERSONAL beliefs. We can’t get to the New Jerusalem by riding the skirt tails of another’s beliefs. Each and every one of us should strive, wrestle, seek to understand what ELOHIM wanted us to understand when He gave the words we treasure. Solomon Meyers has never trolled Facebook to engage in aggressive debates and behavior. We could all use his peaceable stance as an example of desirable behavior to be displayed by ourselves towards each other.

Don’t count me as arrogant in my beliefs. I cannot tell you the number of ways what I believed has been changed and shaped after moving to Israel. I am not arrogant in my belief, I do understand that when my end comes the only thing that will count is what I’ve based my life on, what I have lived my life by. The only one who can do the work of shaping me it the Spirit of the Living Elohim.

Everything that we believe should be based on to the best of our personal abilities understanding the PURE Word of Elohim and seeking that narrow path that the world has obscured, that few will find. If that doesn’t cause you to take seriously all of your beliefs against the light of the scriptures then nothing will. Many, many times I have heard a ‘word’ or a ‘thought’ planted or watered in my brain that another person has said in a brief post and it has at times changed my entire belief about whatever the subject was. That’s the Spirit of Elohim speaking to my life, but screaming at me on chat, etc is not His voice.

Thanks for your ear. Let’s ALL (me too) strive to be kinder and more respectful of each other’s hard earned beliefs especially those with sincere hearts seeking that ‘ancient path’ that was established from the beginning. May we ALL continue to change and grow in understanding!Updated Mar 10, 2018, 8:20 AM
